Summary: In early twentieth century Grinnell, as in the rest of Iowa, rabbit hunts and rabbit suppers were common. The Grinnell chapter of the fraternal organization Knights of Pythias were especially interested in this activity, though all kinds of Grinnell residents hunted and ate rabbits even into the depression years.
