Summary: In a time of severe discrimination against Chinese-Americans, a few Chinese individuals started laundries in Grinnell. Bing Lee owned the original Grinnell Chinese laundry, Jim Fong ran the second, and Kim Fong set up the third in 1913. Little is known about the history of these men besides a dinner Kim Fong hosted in 1915 and hints of a larger discrimination.
