Background Note: The U-Go-I-Go club was organized in 1949 to stimulate a desire among its members “for broader knowledge in order to serve the home, the community, the state and the nation”. Meetings were held the 2nd Wednesday evening of each month from September to May. In later years, projects included scholarship support (Conservation Camp, Indian Affairs, Library Workshop), the Historical Heritage Room, and contributions for the care of children at Woodward and a cabin for crippled children.
