Background Note: Trinity Lutheran Church was organized on June 16, 1867, and the first church was dedicated on July 5, 1868. This church became unserviceable in 1883 at which time a new building was erected. On December 22, 1959, the church burned, and it was decided to erect a new structure on the old site. The first service was held in the new building on March 5, 1961 and the church was dedicated on May 28, 1961.
