Background Note: The Franklin Club was founded in December 1887 by J.R.Lewis and D.W. Norris, its object the “social and intellectual improvement of its members and the advantages of the business interest of the city of Grinnell”. The club grew to be a social organization only and was dissolved in May 1912 by mutual consent. A more complete history is included in the ledger.

Container List: 1 – ledger, which includes the constitution, bylaws, and a complete set of minutes. A history of the club, prepared by three former members, is affixed in the front.
