Drake Library Archive Digital File Name: Grinnell Stories/2015-10-20 When Mexicans first came to Grinnell

Summary: Kaiser lists some of the first Mexican immigrants, many from central Mexico, who came to Grinnell in the early twentieth century. For a handful, Grinnell became a new home, but many worked hard for low wages on the railroad before leaving. The public record of these lives remains slim.
