Summary: Arthur Clifton Lamb, the fifth child born to Minnie and Jacob Lamb, was the only black student both at his high school - Muscatine High School - and at Grinnell College. He began to write and act in plays that emphasized the experiences of black people in his junior year of college. He later enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Iowa and wrote a three-act play for his masters degree. He joined the faculty at Morgan State University until his retirement.
