Background Note: Dollars for Scholars—Grinnell Newburg was organized in January 1998. It is a local organization affiliated with Dollars for Scholars U.S. The purpose of the chapter is to expand access to post-secondary education for resident students (for at least 1 year) receiving a diploma from the Grinnell Newburg School District. The local chapter raises funds, solicits donations and awards and distributes scholarships yearly to eligible students who meet the criteria on a fair and equal basis.
