Quantity: One buff glass negative box (11 x 6 x 4 ½), 21 glass plates, and original Wellington trade box.

Arrangement: Front to back as listed below, in two sections. Section one is alphabetized by plate title. Section two is “No Title,” then alphabetized by description. Original trade box is at back.

Background Note: Original container for the slides is a trade box marked “Wellington S. C. P. Lantern Plates for Gaslight Printing & Development.” Affixed to the box is a handwritten label: “Of Ye Olden Days.” The box contained titled educational slides of colonial and pioneer artifacts as pictured in books and diorama displays. The untitled slides included in this collection are photographs of people and buildings and may not have been original to the trade box.
