Consists of copies of correspondence of Jim Tederman, Dean of Student Affairs from 1977-1988.  Subjects relate to student housing and residential life, personnel matters, student behavior, the Health Center, Presidential Hearing Board, Commencement, Student Government Association, and incoming students.  Other files have information regarding Black students on the Grinnell campus (Black Cluster System, Concerned Black Students) and include lists of Black and international students.

Oda Callison began her work in the Office of Student Affairs in 1965 as secretary; later she was promoted to executive secretary and in 1976 to Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Student Affairs.  In 1987 she became Assistant Dean of Student Affairs until her retirement in 1997.  Her main area of responsibility was student housing.
