Provenance is vague: the films came to the Archives from the Development Office when the Fourth Avenue Office Building was vacated, March 1977, but most probably were produced and used by other offices.

Historical Note: The Freehand Press was a student-run, campus publication in which students could showcase their own short stories, poetry, illustrations, photographs, and other works of art. It operated from 1987 until it merged with the Grinnell Review in the 1998-99 academic year. Provenance: Donated to the Archives by Joe Heads, May 11, 1999.

This series contains files regarding scholarships and loan funds for students and other college investments. Some files seem to relate more to activities of the Treasurer's Office than to Development Office activities. Also includes files relating to insurance for college employees. G. Lester Duke was a 1925 graduate of Grinnell College. He received an alumni award from Grinnell as well as an honorary Doctor of Letters degree.


This series contains family genealogies compiled by Grinnell alumni and by Development Office Staff. The genealogies are only for family members who attended Grinnell College or have a Grinnell College connection. The index that came with the materials was not entirely accurate.
