Grinnell Area Mental Health Consortium / JPK Fund

The JPK Fund was established in 2018 by physician J.R Paulson to honor his late colleague, Dr. Jeffrey P. Knobloch. The JPK Fund supports Poweshiek County area residents who are financially unable to afford services for mental health-related needs.

In spring 2022 the group partnered with the Grinnell Police Department to raise awareness and support for mental health needs in the community through a fundraiser. The GPD later added a mental health liaison to their department through Capstone Behavioral Health.

The Consortium also organizes an ongoing Mental Health Speaking Series at the Grinnell High School. They have been recognized by the Claude W. & Dolly Ahrens Foundation and are recipients of the Leave It Better Award.
