Background Note: The collection contains tapes and transcripts of oral histories which were done by Grinnell College students in Sprint 1993 for a class (American Beliefs and Cultural Values) given by Hanna Griff in American Studies. While the focus was to have been on events during the 50’s, the material covers a broader time period and is valuable for the Depression and WWII as well.
