Custodial history
Although Salter’s papers came from different sources, they seemed to comprise a unified collection of personal papers that had been separated for many years. Thus the decision was made to combine them into one collection within the Archives.
Papers in Series 1 were transferred from Burlington Public Library in 1990 along with Salter’s books. Letters in Series 2 were transferred to the Archives in 1952 by the wife of Professor Paul Peck who received them from Prof. L.F. Parker who received them from Rev. Salter. Letters and manuscripts in Series 3 are of unknown provenance.
