Background Note: This collection documents the oral history project sponsored by the Friends of Stewart Library. The project was funded in January 1992 with a $2000 grant from the Iowa Humanities Board and was directed by Valerie Vetter. Community volunteers interviewed twenty Grinnellians about their memories of Grinnell during the depression and war years.
