Sam Nelson, Jr., Co. (Office Canning Co.) call for Popcorn Acreage in GH 1915, hiring contract land and offering 30$/ton when picked.

1962 newspaper article, Helped Make Popcorn Firm Nationally Known: 'Kernel Pop' Brough Fame Here. Sam Nelson Jr. is a pop corn vendor, sold as "Nelson's Amber Rice Pop Corn, the popcorn that pops." Popcorn factory originally is west of the M&St L railroad south of Second Ave. then he moved to Chicago and died, the company was liquidated.
