Summary: Alice Lee Renfrow, the second-oldest of the Renfrow Children, left Grinnell after high school to make her home in Washington, D. C. After attending Hampton Normal and Agricultural Institute in Virginia, she worked for forty years at the Library of Congress in various divisions. Alice also worked as Dr. E. Franklin Frazier’s secretary for some time, and upon her death in 1997, she was buried in Grinnell’s Hazelwood Cemetery.
