North campus furniture inventory

Large binder, equipment ledger, with 4.5" x 10" card for each item. Gives description of item, value, vendor from whom purchased. Arranged by dorm, then by area (lounge, hostess suite, student rooms, also Cowles dining room).

One bound volume, 14" x 9.5", typescript Articles of Incorporation, Nov. 10, 1913. 5 unnumbered pages. Minutes of the Grinnell college Foundation. Jan2, 1914 - July 21, 1952, pgs. 1-113. Minutes of the first meeting include By-Laws of the Grinnell Foundation, pgs. 1-7. Minutes of the Farm Committee. Feb. 1, 1916-Dec. 3, 1917, pgs. 317-334. Minutes of the Executive Committee. July 20, 1914-June 10, 1940, pgs. 403-530. Loose papers inserted in front of the volume: typed copy of articles of incorporation and by-laws; also correspondence and waiver and notices of assent, 1944.

One bound volume, 16" x 10.5" Grinnell college Foundation Journal Pages, Feb. 1914 - Dec. 1917. Unbound journal sheets came to the Archives in a manila envelop with this label. 9" x 12" sheets, handwritten. Other Foundation jouranls and ledgers are in RG-T, Ser. 1.6, microfilm rolls 28-29.

Class Agent Materials

Class agent materials are generally from 1949 on and are arranged by class year. Most are letters from agents with news of classmates, duplicated and distributed by the Alumni Office. Arranged in reverse chronological order within folders.

Class Letters

Class letters, most prior to 1920, from classmates to the class secretary. Some are the original letters. Most were compiled and edited by the secretary, printed as "annual letters" and distributed in booklet form. In the following list assume the item is in published booklet format unless indicated TLS (typewritten letter signed), ALS (autograph letter signed), ADS (autograph document signed). Class year is in the first column; dates letters written or published are in the second column.
