Dunham/Grinnell photograph collection 1893-1894
Studio photographs of 19 members of Grinnell College class of 1894 including Josiah Bushnell Grinnell, the namesake of the town founder, and one photograph of Alice Dunham Hannay, class of 1893. Also included are short reminiscences written by Marian Dunham regarding Josiah B. Grinnell, Arthur C. Lyon, Dr. Pearl Somers, and Garrett P. Wyckoff, members of the class of 1894. Hill Family Papers and Publications
The collection consists primarily of printed materials, and a few letters of correspondence. Gershom Hyde or James Langdon Hill authored the bulk of the collection. Most of their works are in the form of pamphlets, small books, and occasionally typed manuscripts.

Berry’s addresses and sermons from 1888-1898, a few sermons from his time in Chicago in 1900, as well as his European letters form 1883 and two pamphlets, one regarding a writer named Maurice Hewlett, and the other pertaining to the Music Students’ Club Extension at Grinnell College.

Included are “memories of a Freshman Year”, a reminiscence given at the class of 1940’s 50th reunion dinner on June 2, 1990, as well a “Moments in a Grinnell Experience” given at the Class of 1940’s 55th reunion dinner on June 2, 1995. These typed speeches include photographs of comical sketches of the Grinnell experience as drawn by Wes Davies. In an oversize drawer marked “Moments in a Grinnell Experience”, there are drafts of the sketches, full-sized sketches, and copies of the reminiscences.

Curtis Bradford Transcriptions of W. B. Yeats unpublished prose 1954-1960
In 1954 and again in 1960, Curtis Bradford was able to transcribe previously unpublished manuscripts by W. B. Yeats that remained in the home of Yeats' widow, George. This collection contains the transcriptions Bradford made from Yeats' handwritten and typescript manuscripts. Bradford published a recollection of his work with the manuscripts in the Sewanee Review 77 (1969) 385-404.
A description of this manuscript collection was published by James Lovic Allen and M. M. Lberman, "Transcriptions of Yeats's Unpublished prose in the Bradford papers at Grinnell College." Serif: Quarterly of Kent State University Libraries, 10.1 (1973): 13-27.

Office Files contains applications to ACTION, progress reports, correspondence, and budgets. In addition are program evaluations, the CSC newsletter (Bridges), and public relations' materials. Program Files contains files on each program or agency with which student volunteers worked. There are lists of volunteers, correspondence, clippings and public relations materials, and information about the program or agency. The CSC received a great deal of recognition for student involvement with Alternative Breaks in which students worked on service activities instead of taking vacations. Some statistical information regarding student volunteerism can be found in the "Class projects" file.
