The Ivan Sheets collection contains approximately 400 post cards of towns primarily in Poweshiek County, Iowa.  The are 334 post cards of Grinnell and 74 post cards of surrounding towns including Brooklyn, Malcom, Montezuma, Newton, and Oskaloosa.

The bulk of the collection contains correspondence and reports concerning Reed's work of the American Home Missionary Society of the Congregational Church in the 1845-1869. Among the topics addressed are slavery and how the church should regard congregations in slave-holding states, founding of churches in Iowa, church finances, and founding a college in Iowa. This is a rich collection for the study of early Congregationalism in Iowa.

Studio photographs of 19 members of Grinnell College class of 1894 including Josiah Bushnell Grinnell, the namesake of the town founder, and one photograph of Alice Dunham Hannay, class of 1893. Also included are short reminiscences written by Marian Dunham regarding Josiah B. Grinnell, Arthur C. Lyon, Dr. Pearl Somers, and Garrett P. Wyckoff, members of the class of 1894. Photographs are identified as: Benjamin F. Arnold, Charles E. Arnold, Geneva A. Bigelow, Harry L. Brown, John Peet Clyde, William R. Gelston, Josiah B. Grinnell, Charles W. Hackler, Joseph H. These papers are notes, reminiscences, and correspondence of Norris regarding science clubs, science teachers, and presidents of Grinnell College.

Books of the Middle Ages is a 20-leaf, typewritten manuscript.  The leaves have simple borders, one set inside the other by one inch.  Between the two borders are hand-drawn decorations of plant and animal life that are subtly water colored.  The manuscript is bound in a heavy-weight paper and is tied along the spine with a ribbon.

Consists of 1973 faculty Christmas letter sent by the Alumni Office and 27 responses received by Liberman. Most comment on the May 1970 closing of the college.

The collection consists of a newspaper clipping, concert notice, daybook, 77 photographs and negatives of the Womens' Glee Club trip to California in 1912.  The photos are not labeled.

The collection consists of photocopies of letters and business papers of Horace Alanson Wolcott. Wolcott lived briefly in Grinnell about 1856 then moved to Boulder probably in the early or mid 1860s, and corresponded with people in Grinnell. Papers selected for photocopying are those relating to his Grinnell connections.  Correspondents include: Marshall Bliss of Bliss Crosby Mill, Grinnell; S. H. Bliss; Julia Grinnell; Lucy Bixby (mother of Louisa Wolcott); Samuel Cooper; S. Bixby

There are two pieces to the Irving Hart collection in the Grinnell College Archives.  One is a letter that Elizabeth Kelsey (Class of 1898) wrote to Hart in April 1898 as he was leaving Grinnell to serve in the Spanish–American War, and the other is an autograph album with signatures of students and faculty from the 1870s when Irving’s mother, Elizabeth Biggar Hart, was a student.

Louis Hartson received his bachelor’s degree from Iowa College in 1908 and returned to teach psychology from 1911-23.  Between the years 1973 and 1976, he recorded his memories of those years and of the following 19 years at Oberlin College.  These memoirs as well as several personal letters are held in this collection.
