Consists of some of the history of the two pieces of commercial property in the heart of Des Moines (307-309-311 Walnut St., northwest corner of Walnut and Fifth and 712-20 Mulberry, corner of 8th) from ca. 1895-1958. The property came to Grinnell college as part of the Younker Endowment in 1942.

Each notebook contains records for one year for all farms and is arranged alphabetically by farm name. Each of the last 5 notebooks contains the records of specific farms, 1947-1969. Farms covered are Benson, Felt, Oelwein, Painter.

Consists of papers created in the process of settling the estate of Charles Blossom, a retired banker living in Devner CO, who was killed in an auto-train collision Sept. 1926 near Pierre SD. Blossom had been a banker in Belle Plain IA. He left the estate to Grinnell College in memory of his son, Walter, 1908 graduate, and daughter Louise who had attended the college. Both had died ca. 1918.
