General note

The Academic Advising Office coordinates the faculty advising system and also provides academic advisising.  The director is a liaison to the faculty in academic advising mAtters and serves on the Committee on Academic Standing.  The first director of the office was Ray Obermiller (1967-1991).  She was succeeded by Jo Calhoun (1991-2000) and Joyce Stern (2000-).
